My dad loved the birthday present. He found it so much more original than the socks and bottle of wine I normally give him.

I always thought I had remembered a lot of my childhood. But after reading My First 18 Years, I realised that a lot of things have slipped away from my mind’s eye. Fortunately, I was able to refresh the memories with the book.

By chance, I came across My First 18 Years in the bookstore and bought it for myself. Every week I flip through it and I revisit very recognisable things, like Snake on the Nokia mobile.

I have given the book as a gift to several family members and friends and each time people are happy and surprised.

I took My First 18 Years with me on holiday not so long ago. My husband heard me laughing many times as I flipped through the book from my lounge chair. There were so many recognisable moments and elements in it!

The moments described in the book are recognisable and touching. What I like even more is hearing back the hits from my childhood. Some songs I hadn’t heard for maybe ten years.
